Trail Leader Information

Yuma 4X4 Trail Leaders are people who have off-roading experience, and a geniune interest in preserving and supporting our sport of 4-wheeling.

Trail leading is serious business that is not to be taken lightly. A good Trail Leader needs to have a combination of off-roading skills and an eye for danger. Also, as a Trail Leader, it is your job to know the laws and trails, and to make sure everyone has a good time.

From time to time, you may have to intervene to prevent someone from doing something stupid.

  1. You MUST have a 4X4 that meets basic club requirements, and is equipped for safe recovery of a stuck, or rolled over vehicle.
  2. You MUST strictly follow and enforce the club's Trail Rules and Proper Trail Etiquette.
  3. You MUST have a CB in top working order.
  4. You MUST have good trail experience, and spotter skills.
  5. You MUST have good navigational skills.
  6. You MUST be respectful, patient and courteous.

This is not a paid or reimbursed position. It is strictly Volunteer.

  1. An accurate description of off-roading experience
  2. A brief description of your 4X4
  3. A list of recovery equipment
