A quick word from the Club's Founder and Leader...
Howdy!

My name is Chris (also known as Red Leader) and I am the Club's Owner, Leader and Founder.

I am a lover of nature and 4-wheeling. I am pushing for the unification of all 4X4 owners to keep our trails open and keep our public lands, open to the public.

I don't think what a person drives is nearly as important as their passion for responsible 4-wheeling. Just because you drive a certain vehicle does not make you a better off-roader, even if it does have all the bells and whistles. There's guys that have rigs with all kinds of big money mods, but they still couldn't bribe their way through a trail, but they have the passion to do the right things as a responsible 4X4 owner, and that's all that really counts.

There's a lot of 4X4's on the road nowdays, and there's a lot of idiots out there that think total carnage is a measurement of their manhood. With all the trail closures in the recent past and more are to come in the future, there's way more to 4-wheeling than jumping into your Jeep and going where you have a mind to. A guy (or gal) in a Jeep can ruin a trail, or get it closed just as quick as a guy in a Toyota, or a full sized Chevy.

My point is, we are going to have to educate all 4X4 owners so we can preserve our sport of 4-wheeling! I'd hate to see 4X4's sitting in driveways and in Wal-Mart parking lots because there's no trails to drive on. So let's unite! Let's keep our trails open, by keeping them clean and safe, so we can keep 4-wheeling legal. One for all and all for one!

As the Club's Owner, Founder and Leader, I reserve the right to deny or cancel membership of any member I, or the club staff, feel that is in violation of the Rules and Regulations of this 4-wheel drive club, without refunding any membership fees, dues, donations, or other contributions made to the club.

Majority does not rule! We don't hold any elections, so we don't have any elected officers, therefor, this club does not operate in a Democratic way, but more like a Republic, were each member has an equal right to come to me, or Club Staff (Tail Gunners) with their ideas and concerns. I'll forward the information to the Club's Staff (only if I think the information given warrants consideration). If I get a good response, then we go forward in handling the situation.

Lastly, I consider everyone who joins this 4X4 Club to be my friend. If you are not serious about joining, or making new friends, please, be an adult, and don't waste your time and ours by going any further.

Club Overview
The Yuma 4-Wheelers 4X4 Club (Yuma 4X4) is an active, social club for 4X4 owners and enthusiasts. The Member body is made up from a random collection of individuals, couples, single parents and families, brought together by a common interest, to use their 4X4's to go places and see things. We have members from all ages and walks of life. If you are not a "socializer", then you shouldn't be joining any Club.

No Membership Dues!
Membership into Yuma 4X4 is 100% FREE! Your level of participation is nominal however, an active membership is vital to this Club's success, so signing up just to lurk on the Yuma 4X4 Forum will not be tolerated, period! Inactive Members will be removed on a regular basis (about every 3 months). Inactivity is NOT an option here. If we don't hear from you at least every 3 months, your membership will be terminated.

As in all social clubs, and communities, real and virtual, guidelines are necessary. In our case, the "real" is when we are on a Trail Run, or Club function and the "virtual" is when we are on the Yuma 4X4 Forum. To ensure a safe and friendly atmosphere, all Members need to know the rules on the trail, and on the Yuma 4X4 Forum.

At Yuma 4X4 we don't have any officers, and we don't hold elections. There's no special ranks, or committees. Each individual Member holds the same power as the next. It is up to all of the Members of Yuma 4X4 to maintain a certain level of integrity on the trail and on the Yuma 4X4 Forum. Members are encouraged to speak up if they have any ideas, or concerns. If a Member see another Member doing something that could make the rest of us, and Yuma 4X4 look bad, they are expected to report it to the Club's Leader.

Nominal contributions are welcome (but not manditory) and will be used to purchase things needed by the Club. Your contribution can be made safely online using PayPal. Just go to www.PayPal.com and send your online donation to paypal@yuma4x4.org
