Bill, is a Wood's shaft your only option? Is there no known (by us) good shop here in Yuma? My boss has a driveshaft shop and does excellent work.

Hey Rusty welcome back , No Woods is not my only option I would rather buy local , actually I want a thinner shaft because the thicker shaft rubs my tranny , I would like cromoly or similar strength shaft , With metal is not always size that matters .....this don't sound right but you know what I mean and a warranty .

I would gladly look at that option

Yeah, I yeah ya. Custom is not an issue, especially if you know exactly what material you want. What's your timeframe for wanting to get it done? Do you want it built from scratch or re-use some of your existing components?

I have the broken shaft , Scratch is fine , I think my mount and Yolk are okay ? and was not the problem it was the Yolk Cluster that failed . I am not sure if I even need the cluster looks like a cluster f.... anyways might be all talk ??? the week point anyways .

I should bring him my remains and go from there .

I would like it done in a couple of days from Measurement from Yolk to Yolk

The proving ground. Said shop is not affiliated.

EDIT: I'm going to ask his permission before posting details (location, name, etc). I'm just respectful like that.

Yeah definitely wait till you're done with the suspension and then get with me. We will get you set up with an appointment when you need it. He does most shafts after hours during the week or fri-sun during the day. Do you know where Foothills Transmission is behind the OK Market off 32nd?

I'm not sure what the old name of it was Bill, but it is right there by Brown Bag Burger. It's just past 6E if you're heading into town from the Foothills (on the right). I'm pretty sure it's right across from Rocking K RV park and next to Yuma Mesa RV park.

Are you busy today? I will give you a call this afternoon any maybe swing by your house.

Talked to my boss, he said he could hook you up with a strong shaft and high angle if you need it. Did you get the lift kit on your Jeep?
